New Nexus 6 "Nexus X" by Motorola details reportedly leak with image of the device

More evidence keeps coming suggesting that if a new Nexus phone is arriving this year, it’s going to be the 5.9-inch Shamu. While Google and Motorola have yet to confirm or deny the device’s existence, there have been plenty of rumors and leaks pointing to a Nexus phablet and no talk about a smaller Nexus phone.
As for what this phone will be called? While rumors have gone back and forth between Nexus X and Nexus 6, a new report from Android Police claims the they can “confirm” it will be called Nexus 6 and that it will have a 5.9-inch display with a QHD resolution. AP doesn’t disclose where it got its information but it says that based on what they have seen, they can give us an idea of what it looks like
Keep in mind this render was made by AP and, as always with this kind of rumor/report, speculation is advised. If the render’s details are correct, the phone will apparently have front facing stereo speakers and a few changes when it comes to the icons on the homescreen as well. The sides of the phone will also have the same metallic frame as the new Moto X.
There are no details about what the back of the phone will look like, though reportedly it will have a 13MP shooter with OIS and the same dual-flash ring configuration as the new Moto X. There’s also said to be a front 2MP camera. The Nexus 6’s cameras seem to be a departure from Nexus’ usual tradition of having less-than-epic shooters, though we can’t really comment on the pic quality until we see real images from this rumored device. Some of the other details in the report include the claim that the phone will support Motorola’s quick charger tech and that it will have a 3200+ mAh battery.
Based on this report and previous rumors, it is clear that IF the Nexus 6 is coming it is going to be a monster — both in size and specs. It also appears to be ‘more premium’ in nature (metal frame, etc) than past Nexus phones, something we are also reportedly going to see with the HTC Nexus 9. We can imagine that, in addition to having more premium aesthetics, the latest Nexus crop will also have more premium pricing, though how much more expensive is anyone’s guess.
